About Hypnosis

Hypnosis is a natural, normal state of mind that allows access to your subconscious mind. It releases the super concentrated power of your mind. It is a state of physical and mental relaxation (not sleep) that allows the subconscious mind to be more open to suggestions.

We become what we think about - consciously or subconsciously. That is the power of hypnosis.

Known to almost all cultures, both modern and ancient, Priests and witchdoctors have utilised it since early history. It is only in modern times that we have realised how powerful hypnosis can be in helping to resolve issues such as phobias, lack of confidence, psycho-sexual disorders, or changing habits (e.g. smoking, weight loss etc.) It can also help with stress or personal motivation. No amount of will power exerted by the conscious mind can override the subconscious mind for any extended period of time. The subconscious mind is like a computer that can be programmed, or reprogrammed, to change habits and attitudes to literally change your life.

The mind affects all functions of the body, which is one of the main reasons hypnosis works so well in pain management or phobia management. There is no surrender of mind or of control. A person who does not want to be hypnotised cannot be. Nor can they be induced to do or say anything, which violates personal standards of behaviour or integrity.
